No Chest Pain in One-Third of Heart Attack Victims
Chest pain has been reported as the main symptom among those with heart attack. However, a study of 434,877 patients found that 33% did not have chest pain upon arriving at a hospital. Patients without chest pain are at increased risk for delays in seeking medical attention, receiving less aggressive treatments, and in-hospital deaths.
